Transform Your Floors with Epoxy Floor Coating in Castle Rock, CO

Whether you’re a homeowner, business owner, or contractor, you want to make sure your floors are durable, attractive, and easy to maintain. Epoxy floor coating is a popular choice for all kinds of floors, from garages and basements to warehouses and showrooms.

Epoxy floor coating is a two-part system consisting of resin and hardener. When these two components are mixed together, they create a chemical reaction that forms a strong, durable surface. Epoxy floor coating is available in a wide range of colors, patterns, and textures, so you can customize your floors to suit your needs and style.

Benefits of Epoxy Floor Coating:

  • Durability
  • Aesthetics
  • Resistance to Chemicals and Stains
  • Easy Maintenance
  • Cost-Effective

Our Process for Epoxy Floor Coating:

  1. Inspecting and Cleaning

  • Clear the floor of any furniture, debris, or other obstacles.
  • Sweep or vacuum the floor thoroughly to remove any loose dirt and dust.
  • Use a degreaser or cleaner to remove any stains or spots on the floor.
  1. Patching and Repairing

  • Inspect the floor for any cracks, holes, or other damage.
  • Use a concrete patching compound to fill in any cracks or holes.
  • Smooth out the surface of the patching compound with a trowel or putty knife.
  1. Grinding and Etching

  • Use a diamond grinder or shot blaster to rough up the surface of the floor.
  • This will help the epoxy coating adhere better to the surface.
  • Use an acid etching solution to further prepare the surface of the floor.
  1. Priming

  • Apply a primer to the floor to help the epoxy coating bond to the surface.
  • Use a roller or brush to apply the primer evenly.
  • Allow the primer to dry completely before applying the epoxy coating.
  1. The First Coat of Epoxy

  • Using a squeegee or roller, apply the first coat of epoxy coating to the prepared surface.
  • If any small dents or microscopic holes are found, we fill and level those during the initial coating.
  • Allow the primer to dry completely before applying the 2nd epoxy coating, typically 24 hours.
  1. The Second Coat of Epoxy

  • Once completely dry, the first coat needs to be lightly sanded to remove any roller/squeegee lines, and to create a bondable surface for the 2nd coat.
  • The surface is then thoroughly cleaned of all dust, debris, etc and the area is sealed off.
  • Using a squeegee or roller, we apply the second coat of epoxy coating to the prepared surface.
  • In most cases, floors will be completed with 2 coats of epoxy. In some less common cases, where the floor was in particularly rough shape to begin with, an additional coat or coats may be necessary.

Types of Epoxy Floor Coating:

  • 100% Solid Epoxy Coating
  • Water-Based Epoxy Coating
  • Solvent-Based Epoxy Coating
  • Metallic Epoxy Coating
  • Flake Epoxy Coating
